Looking through my old journal and found a few encouraging quotes I got off of various websites:
I took SF-722 as well as extra calcium, and Betaine Hydrochloride as well as Parathryroid extract since I was not making acid and so was not digesting protein properly. Dr.Piller figured this out by performing muscle testing on my body. You will see that Tripp's website had some detail on kinesiology/muscle testing too. That's why I firmly believe that it's necessary to see Dr.Piller PERSONALLY and that he cannot tell what else other than candida is bothering you. It may be, though, that you will need other supplements that MUST be taken for the SF-722 to work. I did. The SF-722, the Betaine, the parathyroid, extra calcium, and a daily multivitamin. And the candida diet. That's all I took. I had one episode when I was at Universal Studios in Hollywood when I became dizzy and nearly fainted. But that was it. I was VERY CAREFUL with my diet and did what the doctor told me to do. I think it was worth it.
And another one:
This is just a bit of advice for Candida sufferers as I use to be or am on the very tale end of being one. Below are the things that I did and what I think helped me beat it. However, I still am having some liver problems (Over toxity and congestion due to liver/gallbladder stones and Candida) but the cleanses are doing wonders to finish the last ailment of my Candida condition.
First I did a Parasite/Candida cleanse (30days-Called Paragone) ****
Second I did my first liver cleanse ****
Third I had 4 colonics (2 back to back one wk & then 2 back to back the next wk) *****
Fourth I had all along been taking Vitamin C, B complex, enteric coated acidophilus, drinking unsweetened cranberry juice or using the tablets - the other well known Candida fighters were in the Paragone - garlic, carylic acid, grapefruit seed extract etc...
Probably one of the most important things I found was called SF722 (Olive oil based) a powerful Candida fighter. I found out about this after having to take antibiotics for a bladder infection which came after I had completed the Paragone. SF722 is cheap and works wonders. You will start seeing the Candida come out in the toilet.
Fifth - I have done 3 more liver cleanses and I am about to do my 5th this weekend.
If I had to recommend what you all could do it would be SF722, vitamin c, b complex, acidophilus, colonics and liver flushes. If you do this for 30-60 days you no doubt can beat Candida as I have. Although the liver flushes will take a little bit longer since they are done every 2 weeks.
I believe once I clean my liver of all the stones that will be the last vestige of where candida can hide as I think that is what is inhibiting my weightloss. Incidentally olive oil kills candida and we sure drink enough of it when we do the cleanses. Other than that I have virtually no sign of candida.
I now can eat cookies, cake, icecream and carbs all in moderation if I so choose. However prior to Candida I never was a big fan of those things anyone. I do my cleanses drinking 3 quarts of apple juice, grapefruit juice and a liver juice I make in my juicer with no Candida reaction at all, no brain fog, no bad breath, etc. All those things were indicators to me before and they are gone.
Now I have to concentrate on detoxifying my liver and hopefully with a clean liver free of candida I can now metabolize food better and shed some pounds. I believe it has to be my liver as I exercise and eat right religiously. If anyone has any information on weightloss and candida that would sure help me. Again sorry the message is lengthy but I just wanted to give long time candida sufferers some hope.

Hey again. Check out this link on the importance of lacobacteria by Chris Gupta. Also, by the same author, his recipe for cabbage juice and description of it's benefits is short and informative. He says that each 1/2 cup serving of cabbage juice (not unlike Bee's recipe) contains "several billion friendly lactobacteria". Excellent news!

Hello - been a very long time since I upgraded this site last. I have been travelling in Europe for about 5 weeks (it was amazing!) and have now returned - very determined to regain my health. I had to stop taking SF 722 because of die-off :( - it was just too hard travelling with those symptoms. But I think I made a major error when I was taking it the first time - I was not taking it with any sort of probiotics. Karen Tripp and anyone else who has had success with the program has always taken it with probiotics. This makes sense - the antifungal pushes enemy lines back, the probiotics rush in and acquire the new-found space. After all, the primary role of lactobacilli is to "crowd-out" harmful bacteria, not giving them a chance to grow. How could I be so stupid?! I feel as though I've wasted my time and energy with this attempt (which took a couple of months). As well, I have read that taking helpful bacteria will ease the die-off symptoms - possibly due to lactobacilli's ability to "consume" dead yeast cells. So instead of these dead-yeast cells being absorbed by the body and causing us discomfort, they actually serve as a prebiotic!! I hate candida.
I've also found some great links on the importance of probiotics which I will post later today. Take care!

Here's another SF722 success story. It's all about diet and lifestyle, it sounds like. These stories get me motivated! :) The supplements she took are "1. SF-722 for the candida 2. Primadophilus by Nature's Way to replace good bacteria 3. Parathryroid extract to get the gland working again 4.Betaine Hydrochloride to produce some acid 5. Calcium supplements since I was low on calcium "
As well, here is a kind of secret page on Karen Tripp's site that I think doesn't have a formal link to it but provides some good info.

Hey - I'm feeling good again (finally). Man, that enema threw me for a loop. Anyways, I have my strict diet to stick by. I wanted to post this link on how to ferment vegetables. Bee Wilder posted it on her candida support site (see my links page). This is an interesting subject because it is the root of the problem - we candida sufferers have too MUCH bad bacteria in our guts and NOT ENOUGH good bacteria. These fermented vegetables implant good bacteria back in our guts. I am VERY cautious about this, though, and have not tried it yet so if anyone out there would like to share their experiences with me, I'd be most gratious. I guess I'm just worried that somehow these formulas will FEED candida rather than counter it. But if Bee's advising it, it must be worthwhile. Again, please let me know if you have experience with eating fermented vegetables and what it's effects are on candida.

Feeling better (thank God). Still a bit foggy but definitely better than before. I think it WAS due to the enema last night, killing some yeast and giving me the terrible die-off today. Anyways, I am currently eating my third meal today (more roast beef) with pills and plan to go for a jog before bed.
Check out this candida quiz to see what your score is. Mine is currently 149 (I was a bit conservative in taking it, though). Which I hope to get down over the next little while. Jeez, the poor guy who runs the site had his up at 193 at one point! Glad to hear he's down to 98.

Feel terrible today. Brain fog is just terrible and I can't figure out why unless it's that the treatment is really starting to work. Gave myself an enema last night, too, because all that meat backs you up. Thursday, I ate canned tuna, chicken and pork ribs. Yesterday, I ate fish (bagged but no additional igredients were listed) and roast beef (plain). Today, I ate some more of that fish and roast beef. Yesterday, I felt GOOD and I thought I would be getting better but today was WORSE! I hope it is just due to the enema and that I will feel better tomorrow. This is so extremely frustrating...
Here is an interesting link concerning brain fog.

Feeling better - this morning I had some pretty serious brain fog (probably thanks to that "sugar-chicken" - seriously, who the hell puts corn syrup in chicken? =D ) Anyways, I'm hoping to be back to feeling good again within a couple of days. I slept TERRIBLY last night - weird dreams, night sweats, woke up tired and confused. If anyone wants to chat, punch my email into your msn. I'm usually on for an hour or so a day as I update this site and do other stuff. Good night, everyone!
PS - forget candida for a second and say ... Yatta!

Hi - I received another lovely email from someone who has also cleared their candida with SF722. Here it is:
hi Ethan - it was quite a long time ago that I used this product, but the product worked wonders on me. yes, my candida problem was cleared up after using the product, and would not hesitate to use it again. I have not had the candida return (knock on wood!) and after years of trying to conceive, my husband & I finally have a baby girl. (I firmly believe that the inability to conceive was a series of problems, including diet related)> I currently use other products by the same manufacturing company, Thorne, like their prenatal vitamins, and find them of a very high quality. As well as taking the SF722 I also changed my diet, taking out breads and other yeast products, sugar & dairy. I do recall that it took awhile until the yeast cleared up completely (no short cuts, unfortunately!), but if you stick with the formula and diet, you will definately get better! hope this was of some help to you and good luck,
michelle

Hi - I just read your post at Karen Tripp's guestbook and was >interested to know how SF722 worked out for you (you were at day 15 >when you posted). I am currently suffering from candida but am on >the program and doing everything I can to remove this illness from >my body. I also started a webpage to chronicle my progress so that >others may learn through my healing and any mistakes I may make >along the way. I would be honoured if you'd visit or reply with >info on what your candida status is (I hope with all my heart that >you have been successful in getting rid of it). Thank you so much >for your post, it was truly inspiring
Ethan
Congratualations Michelle! And thank you for writing back.
I went jogging yesterday and ate a bunch of meat with the pills.
May 5th, 2004, 10:58 am, Day 1 again!! :(
No - I didn't cheat. But I just found out that the chicken breasts I had been eating this whole time contain small amounts of corn syrup in them. God!!! How could I be so stupid?! I am completely frustrated right now. I hate candida more than ever and I just want to rip my instestines out so I can personal beat it with a stick. Sorry, this entry is so depressing. Well, back to square one. Dammit.

Sorry, one more quick update - I've put in a guestbook. Please sign it!

I've got some pretty gross details. But I thought I'd share them, as I'd want to hear them if I was reading someone else's story. Well, today (and some of yesterday) I've been feeling crummy - mildly brain-fogged and weak. And I've had bad diarrhea yesterday and today and sweaty armpits (I know, I know, these are pretty NASTY details!). I think this may be all due to die off and my body's detox. It's hard because I know that this process is actually good for me but I feel kinda down, like I'm sick. Anyways, I am going to try and stick with it but I may only have TWO meals tomorrow instead of THREE to maybe ease the die-off a bit.
Today I had salmon for breakfast, chicken for lunch (breast and thighs) and then more chicken and some beef for dinner with a small bowl of lettuce and olive oil and a few glasses of mineral water. I got some weight lifting in today as well as a jog. This morning I felt great but that faded as the day wore on.
I also got a wonderful email today from someone I had contacted concerning their post regarding SF722 and what results they got. This response has really filled me with hope that I will beat this illness someday:
Hi Ethan
Happy to be of assistance in any way.
I have been candida free for 3 yrs & 1 month & have never been healthier in my ENTIRE ADULT LIFE !! I thank God every day that I found Dr Pillar & his SF722 because I truly believe that he saved my life & my sanity. This has been an amazing journey in my life with many changes, all positive ones, but I will continue on this path the rest of my life because I feel so damn good !!!
There is hope & you can beat this thing !! Stay positive, keep your chin up & take care.
Have a great day

hi linda, i just read your post on karen tripp's guestbook and it has given me alot of hope. I am 22 and am suffering with candida due to a lengthy course of tetracycline administered in my teen years. Just to hear the words that you "cured" your disease fills me with so much hope for myself and happiness for you. I just started the program today after almost convincing myself that my "brain fog" was the onset of insanity. Thanks again for posting, you have brought me hope which means everything to me right now.
Ethan
That is such a relief to hear that the people that have cured this disease have also KEPT IT AWAY!! Anyone who is suffering out there, keep your chin up and reread responses like this one - they're great for motivation.
Well, it's late and I'm off to bed so goodnight y'all!

Hey - quick update. Check out Bee Wilder's Candida Support Group at Yahoo. She has cured her candida and has been so kind as to share info and ideas with those who are suffering right now. I just joined today under the username Ethankur. Hope to see you there!

Hi again. Sorry for all the posts, this site is starting to get very messy!
Well, my brain fog has FINALLY cleared but boy, I was scared there for a bit. Anyways, today I ate chicken for breakfast (around 11 am) then didn't eat until I got home from work (to avoid potentially more brain fog) which was around 11:30 pm. I chowed down on ribs without sauce and more chicken along with lots of water and 2 SF722 pills and a small bowl of lettuce with olive oil. SOMEDAY, I will eat fruit again!
I also updated the links site with a few new places that I think are very informed. Further, I am going to put up a "letters" section to display the helpful emails I have been lucky enough to receive from those who have cured candida successfully (learn from the best).
Anyways, to close from the evening - please feel free to learn from my mistake yesterday by NOT eating food that is a few days old even if it's been in the fridge. It still contains small amounts of mold which can cause brain fog. Good night everyone!

Hey again, I just wanted to do a quick update because I have undergone some strange changes this morning. I am totally brain-fogged right now and I think it comes about thanks to the leftovers I had yesterday which caused the bad events yesterday. How could I be so foolish? From now on, I will not eat any leftovers, just fresh cooked food for me. This is terrible, and I have to go to work in a few hours! Thank God it is not as bad as a few weeks ago (when I had tried to eat fruits - read My Story). OK, so my plan is - pure protein sources, freshly cooked, lots of water, SF722 (2 pills, 3x per day) and 200 mg chromium (once a day). Bye for now - I'll update with my progress when I get home tonight.

Found a few interesting pieces of info concerning what SF722 really is. SF722 contains undecylenic acid which is an oil that is broken down from castor oil. Recently, the negative health implications of castor oil has been brought to my attention (thanks Bee) but I wanted to formally post what undecylenic acid is and what its' uses are to let other readers decide from themselves. Further, I am ONLY quoting two webpages, so please be aware that this info does not come from the broadest background. Perhaps tonight, if I have more time, I will find some more sources.
What is undecylenic acid? "Undecylenic acid (10-undecenoic acid) is an eleven-carbon monounsaturated fatty acid, [C.sub.11] [H.sub.20] [O.sub.2]. A substance found naturally in the body (occurring in sweat), undecylenic acid is produced commercially by the vacuum distillation of castor bean oil, via the pyrolysis of ricinoleic acid. It is an economical antifungal agent and is the active ingredient in many topical over-the-counter antifungal preparations. (1) Undecylenic acid has been shown to be approximately six times more effective as an antifungal than caprylic acid, and is effective in maintaining a healthy balance of intestinal and vaginal flora. (2)"
Here's a more scientific breakdown "UNDECYLENIC ACID (also called 10-UNDECENOIC ACID ) is an unsaturated hydroxy acid. When Ricinoleic acid, one containing an -OH group, occurs in castor oil is pyrolyzed (heated in the absence of air), it breaks down to give undecylenic acid and n-heptaldehyde. This product's bifunctionality, odd carbon number and he position of its unsaturation double bond at the end of the chain makes it a very versatile tool for chemical synthesis. It's anti-fungal properties are used to make cosmetics, pharmaceuticals. its aldehyde is used to formulate perfumes."
Further, I wanted to encourage anyone reading to find out what the address of their national Health Minister's Office is and write to him/her (multiple times, if possible). Simply describe your story - what you have gone through, what candidiasis is - and ask for help. Why are doctors not recognizing this illness? I encourage using the word "disappointed", it is very powerful (as any mother would have you know :D ). A simple google search will find you the address. If you are in Canada, write to Minister Pittigrew at:
Minister's Office - Health Canada
Brooke Claxton Bldg., Tunney's Pasture
P.L. 0906C
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
K1A 0K9
Fax: 613-952-1154
And if you're from the area, maybe try paying him a visit. Nobody will listen if nobody is speaking
May 2, 2004, Day 5
Had to work at 7 again this morning so I started the day with some chicken (and SF722 pills). Felt clear headed all day but when I got home (around 3 pm), I made the mistake of warming up some old pork that had been in the fridge for maybe 5-6 days and almost instantly I had some brain fogginess (extremely disappointing). It's unfortunate how sensitive I have become to bacteria. Anyways, following that I had a nap and then a jog and then some salmon and lettuce (with olive oil) for dinner. It is now 1:44 am (technically this entry should be dated May 3rd) and my thinking is once again clear. I WILL NOT make that mistake again. Anyways, I am totally bushed so I am going to hit the sac.
But before I go, I have to mention this great article that I read written by my new friend at curezone, Bee Wilder. It is a 5 page article recanting some holistic ways to counter dysbiosis. The article is posted by Natural Health, Wellness and Lifestyle and has loads of good info on all sorts of natural health related issues. It plays as a follow up to her first, a seven page outline of what the illness is and how to overcome it. I strongly encourage anyone interested to check it out.
As well, I added some more info to the "Treatments" section and removed the intro to this page (the main page) as I felt it cluttered the opening. Plus, Bee's description of the candida illness is LIGHTYEARS ahead of mine!
Oh yeah - I now have two fish without names! Please let me know if you have any ideas...
May 1, 2004, 10:43 pm
Worked this morning at 7, so the morning was a bit rushed. I had some chicken along with 2 SF722 pills and lots of water. Didn't eat again until I got home, around 4 and had some hamburger meat, pork, eggs and chicken (I was starving!) and 2 pills SF722. Had a nap, then a steak and small bowl of lettuce with olive oil for dessert and last 2 pills SF722 (and 200 mg chromium). Kept drinking lots of water. I felt good today - my mind is clear and I am absolutely sure it is the diet which I plan to continue for a long time. Although, I think I am going to organize it to be more centered on fish sources over the next few days as I am worried about my high intake of saturated fat (pork, hamburger, etc.) Anyways, things seem to be going well and so far I have not had any major die-off reactions (other than the first day, which was mild, anyway).
Anyways, forgetting candida for a moment, I saw a movie on TV the other night called 'The Pirates of Silicon Valley' which was a great docudrama about the origins of the personal computer as we know it today. It follows the early days of apple and microsoft as they fought for suppremacy in the industry. I highly recommend it to anyone else out there who's interested in this period of time.
Also, I guess I better fess up and admit that I missed my jog today. I was just WAY TOO DRAINED. Didn't get in until later last night then had to be at work early today. I will definitely get one in tomorrow as well as some weights.
Oh yeah, I finally decided to put my email address on here so you'll know where to send your hate mail (hehe, just joking). Seriously, though, any and all feedback is welcomed.
April 30, 2004
Had to work at 6 this morning so I got up early, had some pork (accompanied by two pills SF722) and lots of water. Worked until 1 then came home and cooked up some chicken, pork and lean hamburger meat and ate it all with 2 more pills SF722 and 200 mg of Chromium. I read on Karen Tripp's site that the program she followed allowed diet, caffeine-free soda so I tried having a diet, caffeine-free Pepsi. And it honestly made me feel a little strange, like a light brain-fog. Well, that does it - I have made up my mind now that Aspartame is not for me, so I guess the only thing I will be drinking during this program is water.
Last night, I woke in just drenched in sweat throughout the night. I *hope* that this may be a sign that the SF722 is helping my body combat the dysbiosis (as I NEVER sweat when on a high protein diet alone) but I am beginning to worry that it may have been the 200 mg chromium I had last night. Anyways, we shall see. I have been trying to avoid eating anything within three hours of bed which also seems to really help the night-sweats.
I am planning to get a half hour jog in tonight as well as some mild weights.
Overall, until I had that diet, cafeine-free pepsi, I was feeling great. No spaciness or depressing feelings. I am not feeling depressed now that I drank the pepsi, but I definitely feel more light-headed than before.
Anyways, on a lighter note, here's a pretty funny site from the guy that brought you Leisure Suit Larry! And who can resist The Best Page in the Universe?
April 28th, 2004
Today I started taking Sf722, which is supposed to be a very strong antifungal. I have been on a very low-carb diet for about a week and a bit now and feel much better. SF722 is the product that helped Karen Tripp recover from her candida problem back in 1995 and I hope it will do the same for me. I took two capsules with each of my three meals today. I had chicken for braekfast, some pork, lettuce and olive oil for lunch and more chicken for dinner with some romaine lettuce. I also drank alot of water today and felt mostly clear-headed all day. I did not get a jog in today but have been jogging about a half an hour per day for the last few months.
I got the website up and running today. It is currently 2:04 am on the 29th and I am dead tired.
I just wanted to type in one more thing before I hit the sack - and it's about Threelac. Yes, I've tried it, and NO - IT IS NOT THE MIRACLE CURE THAT IT'S ADVERTISERS WOULD HAVE YOU BELIEVE. In fact, while I was taking it, I do not believe there was a single day where I said to myself, "hmmm, I feel alot better TODAY than I did when I started taking Threelac". That's just my opinion and results. There are those that claim that it works but I don't see how a probiotic can remove candida by itself.
